FINLEY Adds Three to Staff
TALLAHASSEE, Florida - Finley Engineering Group (FINLEY) welcomes three new staff members - Rob Barthelemy, Robert Alonso and Brad Shepard - to its growing engineering and construction consulting firm.
Florida State University graduate Robert Barthelemy joins FINLEY as a Bridge Designer.
Rob previously worked at the Structural Research Facility for the Florida Department of Transportation. In that role, he was responsible for preparing various steel and concrete specimens for tests of strength, deflection, and bending moment. He also assisted in the construction of a diverse blend of bridge decks and numerous reinforced concrete structures.
Rob earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering, Cum Laude with honors, from FSU in 2007. A Dean's List student with a 3.60 grade point average, Rob minored in Physics and Mathematics. He has taken his engineer-in-training exam and is awaiting the results.
A resident of Tallahassee, Rob is a native of Miami and a graduate of Miami Killian Senior High School.
Robert Alonso, EI, MCE, joins FINLEY as a Bridge Designer.
In his career, Robert has provided design assistance on several notable projects. This includes the Lee Roy Selmon Expressway Interchange in Tampa, the County Road 54 Extension Over Cypress Creek in Land O'Lakes, and the Fred Howard Park Bridge Replacements in Tarpon Springs.
Robert earned a Master of Civil Engineering and a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of South Florida in Tampa. He is a registered engineer-in-training with the state of Florida.
Brad Shepard joins FINLEY as a senior CADD Technician.
With 17 years of experience in civil engineering drafting and design in bridge and roadway projects, Brad strengthens FINLEY's technical depth with an extensive knowledge of Microstation and a solid background working with state agencies. Brad has created and installed client-specific CADD configurations for a variety of organizations, including departments of transportation in Florida, Maine and Texas, as well as the Pennsylvania Turnpike Committee.
Brad's responsibilities at FINLEY include development of all phases of conceptual study drawings, preliminary design study drawings, final design drawings, and shop drawings. He also handles all aspects of plan production in connection with project design, management and construction.
Notable projects that Brad has worked on include the Foothill Parkway Bridges 9 and 10 in Tennessee, the Ringling Memorial Causeway Bridge in Sarasota, Florida, and the Miami Intermodal Center Ramp 10A in Miami, Florida.
A native of Bainbridge, Georgia, Brad graduated from Southwest Georgia Technical College in Thomasville, Georgia.
