FINLEY PROMOTES ADAMS TO BRIDGE ENGINEER
TALLAHASSEE, Florida - Matthew Adams, P.E., was promoted to Bridge Engineer at Finley Engineering Group (FINLEY) in April, shortly after receiving his State of Florida professional engineering registration.
Adams graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Florida State University in 2000 and added a Master of Civil Engineering in Structures and Mechanics from North Carolina State University in 2002.
He has more than six years of experience in preliminary and final design, construction engineering, and estimating. He has spent much of that time creating constructible design solutions directly with the contractor or in a design-build setting. His expertise centers on time-dependent evaluations of segmental structures, and he is proficient in a variety of complex structural analysis programs and scheduling software.
Prior to joining FINLEY in 2006, Adams spent two years with Parsons Corporation and three years with Parsons Brinckerhoff. He is a member of the American Segmental Bridge Institute (ASBI).
With FINLEY, his project work includes the Miami Intermodal Center Bridge 10A in Miami, Florida; the South Fork Eel River Bridge in Mendocino County, California; and the Section 18 project in Israel. He also served as bridge designer for the short-span bridges at The Cliffs developments in North and South Carolina, construction engineer for the SR 79 West Bay Bridge in Florida, and bridge designer for the Road 431 project in Israel.
